The color is a nice deep Garnet.
1.25" pile with very fine guard hair.
This fabric is a super soft synthetic from the Tissavel/DongLim mill and once you touch it you will be hooked! 

The backing is not as tight a weave as Schulte backing.  You may want to use Fray Check.
